This is our main service at chuch. We have a lively worship band generally consisting of piano, guitar, drums and singer, with occasionally various other instruments. The band lead us in our sung worship: an eclectic mix of old hymns and new songs related to the theme for the service.
Our minister, John, usually preaches and co-ordinates the service but participation is encouraged. A variety of people lead the prayers and our monthly communion and bring news and information about the overseas workers or charities that the church supports.
Children and young people leave the service after the all age talk to go to their Sunday Club activity.
There are regular All Age Services, which are shorter and more family focussed.
We have tea and coffee after the service, with plenty of time to chat to friends and new people.
There is generally a service on Sunday evenings but this varies in time and format. Each month there is:
Songs of Praise with tea and cakes
Celtic Evening Prayer
Alternative Service – a time of reflection and quiet with participation from all. Followed by a light supper.
