Tiddlywinks is a toddler group for babies and children up to school age and their parents/carers. There are currently seven children who regularly attend. We provide a wide range of toys, puzzles and activities for children to explore in the back hall during the Sunday morning service. Each week there is a different activity for parents/carers to do with their child/children. The aim is to provide a safe and sociable environment for children to play and meet with others. Parents or carers are asked to stay during the sessions and to take responsibility for their child/children at all times.
For the ‘all age’ part of the Sunday morning service (from 10.30 -11am) there is a children’s carpet within the church where parents get to know each other and children, through sharing with each other, start to make friends.
A typical Tiddlywinks moment. Telling the story of baby Moses, a grape was used with a face on, placed in jelly representing the River Nile. In the middle of the story, one of the children picks up baby Moses, puts him in his mouth and swallows him with delight; long may the fun continue!
